Choir of Clare College

Recordings

The choir has produced several recordings on the Meridian and Gamut (Guild) labels, as well as three CDs for Harmonia Mundi, of Blow's Venus and Adonis, motets by Pelham Humphrey, and Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. In 1994 the choir began a major series of television recordings for Dutch TV, resulting in the release of six video CDs on the Columns Classics label. The choir's release on the EMI Debut label of Palestrina's Missa Assumpta est Maria was widely acclaimed; Illumina, music on a theme of light, was runner-up for a Gramophone Award.  Their recording of John Rutter's Requiem on Naxos was Editor's Choice in The Gramophone magazine.

All Clare Choir recordings are available through good record shops.  Friends of Clare Choir may purchace CDs with a discount. Many are also available from the Porters' Lodge, or on request from the Chapel Administrator, Mrs Kate Littlechild by using the link below.
