Clare College Dance Society

The Clare Dance Society was formed with the goal of encouraging students to meet up and socialise through dancing. Whilst the main style is Ballroom & International Latin, we hope to expand into other styles in the future. Dancing is an excellent way of getting to know fellow Clarites whilst learning a skill that will come in useful during May Week.

In Michaelmas and early Lent term, the society members usually meet on a weekly basis to prepare for Cuppers (inter-college dance competition). The competition is great fun with some wonderful and at times downright quirky versions of dancing. In the society, you get to try dances like the Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive, Waltz and Quickstep. Come and have a go!
