Turpin Lipstein Fellowship in Law Generations of Clare students have benefited from the teaching, wisdom and personal guidance of a remarkable group of Law Fellows, exemplified by Colin Turpin and the late Kurt Lipstein. The College is carrying forward this tradition of excellence to a new generation by the creation of a dedicated Teaching Fellowship in Law, named the Turpin Lipstein Fellowship, for a fixed term of five years beginning on 1 October 2007. The new Turpin Lipstein Fellow is Isabelle van Damme, a graduate of Gent and Georgetown Universities. As a College Teaching Officer, employed solely by Clare, she is able to engage with undergraduates and give priority to Clare Law students above departmental or administrative duties. The funding required for the Fellowship (covering salary, pension and related costs) is £40,000 per annum, hence £200,000 for a five-year, fixed-term appointment. The College is most grateful for the gifts received to date, and would welcome further donations, especially 5-year pledges, to facilitate the full funding of the Turpin Lipstein FellowshipFor further information, please contact the Development Director . |
