How many students does Clare take in each subject?The College expects to fill about 135 places annually. There are no quotas for men or women, pre-or post-A2 level applicants, state or private schools/colleges, or for the individual subjects. However, the College does try to maintain a broadly equal balance between Arts and Sciences, and is subject to the overall University quota for students in Medical and Veterinary Sciences. Thus we do not have fixed quotas for individual subjects, but aim rather to take the best candidates in Arts and in Sciences who apply to us each year.
