Candidates from Scotland and Ireland

We welcome candidates from Scotland and Ireland, and have had positive experience with those that we have taken in recent years.

We try to tailor our offer levels to individual circumstances. As a broad guide, however, we would expect Scottish candidates to have scored all or mainly A grades in their Advanced Highers (AH), and our offer to them would be based on their grades in their AH subjects. We would usually expect Scottish candidates to be taking 3 AH subjects, or 2 AH and further Highers, and our offer would be at the level of AAA or AAB. We are also happy for Scottish candidates to take a mix of AH and A2 levels, and would pitch our offer at the same level.

In the case of candidates taking the Irish Leaving Certificate, we would usually expect candidates to be taking at least 6 subjects at Higher level, and to gain 5 As and 1 Bs.
