Welcome to the Forbes Mellon Library

The Forbes Mellon Library (FML), situated in Memorial Court, is primarily for the use of Clare undergraduates. The library is a comfortable and spacious place in which to work and the library staff will help students locate any items they need. We aim to stock most recommended reading for Part I of the Tripos in all subjects and as much as possible for Part II. Almost all of the collection of over 30,000 items can be borrowed. In addition a comprehensive reference section, past exam papers, some foreign newspapers, and a broad collection of general and interdisciplinary material are available. There is a computer room within the library and a second computer room and a common room within the library building. The Lipstein and Turpin Law Reading Rooms in Ashby Court are for Law and Land Economy students only and books must not be removed from these rooms.
